Sven-Harrys Konstmuseum – part of the government meeting
Sven-Harrys Konstmuseum had the great honor of being part of the joint government meeting between Sweden and Finland in Stockholm on Monday, September 16th.
Museum director Dragana Kusoffsky Maksimovic welcomed Prime Ministers Ulf Kristersson and Petteri Orpo, along with ministers, state secretaries, and ambassadors, who concluded the day's significant meeting with a dinner in the exhibition Carl-Fredrik Hill and Fanny Churberg – Towards a New Landscape.
In her welcome speech, our museum director emphasized how art serves as a bridge between the past and the present, transcending language, geography, and cultural boundaries. It can reflect society, challenge norms, unite people, and inspire change.
The dinner ended with an exclusive tour of the museum's art collection.
The evening was an inspiring encounter between art, history, and political cooperation – a testament to how the power of culture can unite countries and people across time and space.
