A conversation between Dilara Cetinkaya (country director of the Non-Violence foundation), Roger Duprè, Maria Norberg and Ernst Billgren about what art can contribute to the fight against violence. The Non-Violence Foundation has developed a ten-point agenda – "It's not too late" – on how we can together stop deadly violence.

After John Lennon was shot dead outside his house in New York in 1980, the artist Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd (1934–2016), who was a close friend of John Lennon, created the sculpture Non-Violence in the form of a revolver with a knotted barrel. The work became a symbol of peace struggles worldwide where the knot, in all its simplicity, symbolizes that violence is never the solution. Reuterswärd saw the symbol as the best way to honor his friend's work for peace and non-violence globally.

In the museum's sculpture collection, there is a version of the work Non-Violence, which can be seen on our roof terrace with a view of the entire Vasa Park.

The call is included in the entrance fee.
