Opening of Our New Exhibition

On September 26th, we open our major exhibition this fall at Sven-Harrys Konstmuseum – Woven Lives. The loom takes center stage – not just as a tool, but as a symbolic space where craftsmanship, memory, and artistic expression converge.

The exhibition showcasing ranging from Swedish textile icons such as Märta Måås-Fjetterström, Barbro Nilsson, and Viola Gråsten, to contemporary voices like Andreas Eriksson, Emma Holmgren, Hans Thomsson, and Pia Ferm. Here, generations and artistic forms meet – from the repetitive rhythm of the rag rug to large-scale installations and conceptual textile works.

Guided introductions are held daily, and four extended tours are offered each week in Swedish, with the option to book in English. On selected occasions, weaving demonstrations will take place in the exhibition – a unique opportunity to experience the craft up close.
